10 Midlife Glow Principles That Helped Me Rebuild My Confidence and Energy

10 Midlife Glow Principles That Helped Me Rebuild My Confidence and Energy

“The woman I am today isn’t the woman I planned to become… she’s the woman I became because life had other ideas.”

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought…

“Where did she go?”

The woman who had energy. The woman who felt confident. The woman who seemed to have it all together.

I know that feeling.
I’ve spent over 36 years in the beauty industry, helping other women look and feel their best. But when I went through early menopause after my hysterectomy, I found myself facing changes I wasn’t prepared for.

My skin changed. My body changed. My confidence took a knock. And, if I’m honest, some days I just didn’t recognise myself.
I kept looking for the one thing that would magically fix it.

A cream. A treatment. A supplement. A new routine.
But what I discovered was something much bigger.
Getting my glow back wasn’t about finding one miracle.
It was about changing the way I showed up for myself.
These are the ten principles that have helped me along the way.

1, Take responsibility for your next step. I couldn’t change what had happened to my body.
But I could choose what I did next. I stopped asking, “Why me?”
And started asking, “What can I do today that Future Me will thank me for?” Sometimes that step was tiny.
Tiny steps still move you forward.

2, Become the woman you want to be. I spent too long waiting to feel confident.
Then I realised confidence comes after action.
The more I stepped outside my comfort zone, the stronger I became.

3, Invest in yourself every day. For years, I looked after everyone else. Then I realised something.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Now I try to learn something, move my body, or do one thing for my wellbeing every single day.
Not because I have to. Because I’m worth it.

4, Keep promises to yourself. How many times have you said…
“I’ll start Monday.”
“I’ll look after myself when things calm down.”
I used to do that too.
Now I know that keeping the little promises builds trust in yourself.
And that trust changes everything.

5, Protect your time.
Midlife can feel like everyone needs a piece of you.
Family. Work. Friends. Life.
I’ve learned that making time for myself isn’t selfish.
It’s necessary.

6, Add value to others.
One of the unexpected gifts of getting older is realising how much experience you have to share.
Whether it’s skincare advice, a listening ear, or simply making someone smile…
Kindness has a ripple effect.

7, Lead yourself with grace.
We’re often our own worst critics.
I’ve learned to swap perfection for progress.
Some days are brilliant.
Some days are hard.
Both are part of the journey.

8, Raise your standards.
I’ve stopped waiting until I feel motivated.
I simply do the things that help me feel good.
A walk.
A healthy meal.
My skincare.
A chat with someone who needs encouragement.
Small habits create big changes.

9, Choose your environment wisely.
The people around us shape our thoughts more than we realise.
I’ve become more protective of my peace.
I’ve chosen people who encourage growth, kindness, and possibility.

10, Dream bigger.
This might be my favourite.
For a while, I thought early menopause had taken something from me.
Now I realise it gave me something too.
A fresh perspective.
A deeper appreciation for health.
A passion for helping other women navigate this season with confidence.
It reminded me that life doesn’t stop in midlife.
Sometimes…
That’s exactly where it begins.

People often ask me about glowing skin.
And yes, good skincare matters. Healthy habits matter. Looking after ourselves matters.
But the biggest difference I’ve seen isn’t on the outside.

It’s what happens when a woman starts believing she’s still capable of growing, learning, dreaming, and becoming.
I’ve discovered that glow isn’t something we lose.
Sometimes it just gets buried under life’s challenges.
And with a little care, a little courage, and a lot of self-compassion…

We can find it again.
Maybe that’s the real beauty of midlife.
Not trying to become who we once were.
But becoming the woman we were always meant to be.

I’d love to know, which of these ten principles speaks to you the most?

Because chances are, another woman reading your answer needs to hear it too. If you ever feel like a wee chat 😊

Your Skin Secret Story: What Midlife Might Be Revealing.

Your Skin Secret Story: What Midlife Might Be Revealing.

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought…

“I’m doing all the right things… so why does my skin feel so different?”

You’ve got the cleanser. The serum. Maybe even the “miracle” cream that promised glow in 7 days.

You’re drinking water. Trying to be consistent.

And yet… something still feels off.

Duller. Less resilient. Not quite like “you” anymore.

I hear this all the time from women in midlife.

And for the longest time, I thought skincare was simply about what we put on the skin.

But I’ve started looking at it differently.

Because what if the changes we see… actually started long before they reached the surface?

Fine lines. Pigmentation. Loss of glow. Dryness.

These aren’t random.

They’re often the visible story of something happening much deeper inside the skin long before we notice it in the mirror.

Your skin isn’t just aging – it’s responding.

Every day, your skin is balancing something called oxidative stress.

Think of it as a tug of war inside your body: ⚡ Free radicals (from stress, sun exposure, pollution, lack of sleep) 🛡️ Antioxidants (your body’s natural defence system)

When that balance tips too far… your skin starts to show it. You start to feel something.

It’s not an overnight. But gradually… quietly… until one day you can’t help but notice the change.

This is where food becomes skincare.

Because antioxidants don’t just come in bottles, they come from what we eat.

And this is where that idea of “eat the rainbow” suddenly makes sense.

It’s not just a wellness trend… it’s biology.

🌈 Red foods (like tomatoes & strawberries) contain lycopene and vitamin C
🌈 Orange & yellow foods (like carrots & peppers) are rich in beta-carotene
🌈 Green foods (like spinach & kale) support detox pathways with chlorophyll & polyphenols
🌈 Blue & purple foods (like blueberries & blackberries) are packed with anthocyanins
🌈 Nuts & seeds provide vitamin E, a powerful skin-protective antioxidant

Each colour brings a different type of protection.

Your Antioxidant cheat sheet

https://canva.link/byf0maetidz2gph

Different tools. Different support systems. All working together inside your body.

So when people say “eat the rainbow”…

It’s really about building a stronger internal defence system for your skin.

And here’s what most people never think about…

We can see pigmentation. We can see fine lines.

But we don’t usually see what’s happening beneath the surface until it becomes visible.

That’s what fascinated me about exploring skin health more deeply, because instead of only focusing on what’s already showing…

It opens up a conversation about what’s happening underneath.

Things like antioxidant levels. Oxidative stress balance. Skin resilience before damage becomes visible.

And honestly, that shift in perspective changes everything.

Because suddenly skincare isn’t just about “fixing” what you see…

It’s about understanding what your skin is experiencing.

Especially in midlife…

When hormones shift, stress responses change, sleep can be disrupted, and your skin starts to behave differently than it used to…

This deeper layer matters more than ever.

Not to overwhelm you.

But to empower you.

Because your skin isn’t failing you.

It’s communicating with you.

And when you start to understand that language… everything changes.

Less chasing. More supporting. Less fixing. More listening.

This is where Prysm fits into the conversation…

Not as a “quick fix” or another skincare trend…

But as a way of looking at skin differently.

Instead of only focusing on what’s already visible on the surface, Prysm helps open up a deeper understanding of what’s happening beneath the skin, including things like antioxidant levels and oxidative stress balance.

It simply gives you more insight into your skin’s internal environment, so decisions around skincare and lifestyle become more informed, not guessed.

For many women, especially in midlife, that shift alone is powerful.

Because when you understand what your skin is dealing with underneath…

You stop reacting to what you see in the mirror…

And start supporting what’s really going on inside.

💬 Have you noticed your skin changing even though your routine hasn’t?

Why Affirmations Weren’t Enough for Me

Why Affirmations Weren’t Enough for Me

I first came across affirmations when I discovered Louise Hay.

At the time, I needed hope.
I’d been through a hysterectomy, and menopause was doing a number on me.

If I’m honest, I felt lost. I felt alone. I looked in the mirror and didn’t quite recognise the woman looking back at me.

My body had changed. My skin had changed. My confidence had taken a knock.

Somewhere along the way, I’d lost a little bit of myself.
So I started repeating affirmations.
“I am enough.” “I love and accept myself.” “I am worthy.”

And they helped.
They gave me a little comfort on the days when I needed it most. They helped me quiet the noise for a while and reminded me that there was another way to think about myself.

But over time, I realised something.
Affirmations don’t create lasting change… at least not on their own.

The words we speak come from our conscious mind, but our deepest wounds often live somewhere much deeper.

They can hide in childhood memories, heartbreak, loss, rejection, and the stories we’ve quietly carried for years.

Perhaps you’ve felt overlooked.

Perhaps you’ve spent your life putting everyone else first.

Perhaps you’ve looked in the mirror during midlife and wondered where the old you went.

Those experiences can leave us with beliefs we didn’t consciously choose.

“I’m not enough.” “I’m too much.” “I’m not lovable.” “I’m not chosen.”

So if we’re standing in front of the mirror saying, “I am worthy of love,”
but a deeper part of us still believes otherwise, it’s no wonder the words don’t always land.

The affirmation isn’t failing.

It’s simply trying to speak to a part of us that’s asking to be heard first.

I’ve come to believe that affirmations are not the destination.

They’re the invitation.
An invitation to become curious.

Why do I believe this about myself?
Where did this story begin?
Is it really true? What would I say to a friend who felt this way?

Healing, I’ve learned, isn’t about pretending we’re fine or forcing ourselves to think positively.

It’s about meeting ourselves with compassion.
It’s about grieving what we’ve lost, celebrating who we’ve become, and giving ourselves permission to write a new story.

These days, my favourite affirmation isn’t, “I have it all together.”
It’s something much gentler.
“I am willing to heal.” “I am willing to trust myself.” “I am willing to believe that I am worthy of love, joy, and new beginnings.”

Because healing isn’t something that happens overnight.

It’s a journey.
For me, that journey led me back to taking care of myself. Looking after my health, my skin, my mindset, my faith, and reconnecting with the woman I’d forgotten was still there.

And here’s what I know now.
The woman I thought I’d lost after my hysterectomy wasn’t gone at all.

She was waiting for me to find my way back to her.

So if you’re reading this and affirmations don’t seem to be working for you, please don’t give up on yourself.

Keep speaking kind words.
But also listen.
Listen to the parts of you that are hurting. The parts that feel forgotten. The parts that simply want to be loved.

Because lasting change doesn’t come from silencing our wounds.

It comes from understanding them, healing them, and realising that we were never broken in the first place.

And maybe the most powerful affirmation of all is this:
“I am becoming the woman I was always meant to be.”

🎥 Well… this feels a little uncomfortable! 😅

🎥 Well… this feels a little uncomfortable! 😅

This week, my team and I are doing a 7-day challenge…

Talking to the camera.

No scripts.
No notes.
No editing.
No hiding behind perfection.

Just showing up and speaking.

And if I’m honest… that’s stretching me.

A wee line I always say to myself is:

💛 “I’ve got this.”

Not because I always believe it.

But because sometimes we need to borrow courage from our future self.

This challenge actually reminds me of when I first joined the ships.

We had to get up on stage and speak.

OMG… I thought I was going to pass out right there on the floor. 😳

My chest felt heavy.
My throat was dry.
My face was the colour of a cherry tomato.

I was terrified.

Then my boss, the original #bosbabe before it was a thing Amanda Jane Frances, looked at me and said,

“You can do it.”

And she gave me that look that basically said…

“And if you don’t, you’re outta here!” 😂

So I took a deep breath.

Got up.

And did it.

What fascinates me now is that confidence didn’t come before I got on that stage.

The confidence came because I got on that stage.

That’s how our brains work.

The more we do something, the more familiar it becomes.

What feels scary today becomes normal tomorrow.

Amanda isn’t with us today, but her spirit still lives on in those those simple words:

💛 YOU CAN DO IT.

So for the next 7 days, you’ll be seeing the real, unfiltered me.

No perfection.
No overthinking.

Just practice.
Just growth.

And whenever I feel nervous…

I’ll be saying the same thing I said all those years ago.

💛 I’ve got this.

Tell me… what’s something you’ve done that scared you, but you did it anyway?

When Life Feels Like Chaos… and You Realise You Might Be the One Steering It

When Life Feels Like Chaos… and You Realise You Might Be the One Steering It

There are days when you stop for a second… usually mid-laundry pile, mid-text reply, mid-“what was I even doing?”… and think:

“Where did all this chaos come from… and how on earth do I make it STOP?!?”

If you’ve ever felt like that, you’re not alone my darling.

Because midlife especially can feel like one long juggling act.

The dog is barking.
The phone is pinging.
There’s shopping to do, meals to make, laundry that never seems to end, and odd socks to find… plus a mental list of things you already forgot you needed to remember.

And somewhere in all of that… you’re supposed to feel calm, balanced, and in control?

Honestly? That expectation alone is enough to make anyone laugh.
Or cry.
Or both.

I used to look at my life and feel like everything was happening to me.

Like I was just reacting.

Putting out fires.
Catching up.
Trying to stay one step ahead of everything and still falling behind.

But then something shifted.

I started noticing something uncomfortable… but also incredibly empowering.

A lot of the chaos in my life wasn’t just random.

It was created by choices I had made over time.

No blame game. Just the truth.

And that’s when I had a bit of a wake-up moment:

If I had enough power to create this level of chaos…
then I also had enough bloody power to change it.

Not instantly.
And certainly not perfectly.
But definitely.

I actually had a wee laugh to myself when I said it:

“I am the reason this is all chaotic.”

Because I think so many of us are.

Not because we’re doing anything wrong.

But because we:

say yes too often

take on too much

try to be everything to everyone

push through when we’re already running on empty

keep adding things to our plate without removing anything.

Multitasking should be our middle name, lols.

And then we wonder why life feels heavy.

But here’s the thing…

If I helped build this chaos… I can also start unbuilding it.

One small decision at a time.

Midlife doesn’t give you perfect conditions (and that’s the point)

One thing I had to accept quickly is that I was never going to have those perfect “morning routine” moments you see online.

No slow, uninterrupted two-hour start to the day.
No peaceful silence.
No perfectly aligned schedule.

Life didn’t look like that for me.

And maybe it doesn’t for you either.

Instead, it looked like:

being interrupted every 5 minutes

helping someone while trying to do something else

working from the kitchen table

juggling everything

trying to find myself in the gaps

So I had to stop trying to build a life that only works in ideal conditions…
and start building one that works in REAL life.

Adding Little routines that actually supported me, not cause more stress

This is where things started to change.

I stopped aiming for “perfect routines” and started creating small, flexible ways that could survive chaos.

Things like:

tiny morning anchors instead of long routines

simple habits I could actually stick to

breathing space between tasks

letting go of all-or-nothing thinking

giving myself permission to do things imperfectly

Because the goal wasn’t to control everything.

It was to stop abandoning myself inside the chaos.

That was the real shift.

When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to think:

“This is just my life now.”

But it’s not.

You are not stuck in this version forever.
And you are not powerless in it either.

Because even in the busiest, most chaotic seasons of life… you still get to choose:

what you say yes to

what you stop carrying

what you simplify

how you respond instead of react

how you treat yourself in the middle of it all

And those tiny choices?

They add up faster than you think.

A wee question to think on today…

Instead of trying to fix everything at once, try this:

“What’s one thing I could make easier for myself this week?”

Not ten things.
Not a full life overhaul.
Just one.

Because calm doesn’t usually arrive in one big transformation.

It builds… through small, honest decisions.

And if today feels like chaos?

You’re not doing life wrong.
You’re just in the middle of it.

And you’re allowed to make it kinder for yourself

If you’re not in my group yet, here’s a little glimpse into what I do:

I help women, especially in midlife, feel radiant, confident, and like themselves again.

Because let’s be honest… hormones, stress, burnout, menopause, inflammation, oxidative stress, and life changes can really impact how we feel in our skin.

Dryness. Dullness. Puffiness. Loss of firmness. Looking tired no matter how much concealer you use.

And sometimes… it’s not even just the skin.

It’s that feeling of not quite recognising yourself anymore when you look in the mirror.

That’s why I’m passionate about supporting women in a more holistic, inside-out way.

Using science-backed skincare, beauty devices with gentle stimulation and lymphatic support, alongside wellness… I help women support healthier-looking skin naturally while improving glow, circulation, skin vitality, and overall confidence.

Because beauty has evolved far beyond just surface treatments:

supporting the skin barrier

helping reduce the effects of oxidative stress

encouraging healthy lymphatic flow and skin renewal

creating consistent salon-quality results from home

without overwhelm

without harsh approaches

without feeling like you need to “fix” yourself overnight

And for my beauty pro besties:

I also help beauty professionals evolve their treatments more holistically too, blending hands-on expertise with smart beauty technology and modern wellness support.

So your clients get better, longer-lasting results… without everything resting on your energy alone.

Skincare that works with your biology.
Support that builds confidence and consistency.
A more sustainable way of doing beauty in midlife.

Truth bomb, lovely…

You don’t need fixing.
You need support, science, and self-trust, and I’m here for all three.

And maybe… a little reminder to appreciate the skin you’re in while you’re improving it too.

Why Do So Many Women Stop Wearing Bright Colours After 40?

I can’t wear bright colours anymore.”

A few women have said things like this to me lately.

Or…

“I couldn’t wear bold lipstick now.”

And honestly?

Every time I hear it, it makes me a little sad.

Because since when did women start believing there’s an age where they’re supposed to slowly fade into the background?

Who decided confidence had an expiry date?

Somewhere along the way, so many women were taught that getting older meant becoming smaller.

Less visible.

Less expressive.

Less bold.

Less YOU.

And I think many women don’t even realise how much they’ve slowly been shrinking themselves over the years.

Not because they want to…

but because life happens.

Confidence gets chipped away.

Bodies change.

Hormones change.

Energy changes.

And sometimes somewhere between looking after everyone else, going through menopause, stress, work, relationships, motherhood, or simply getting older…

women stop fully seeing themselves properly anymore.

And honestly?

I understand it more than people realise.

After my hysterectomy and early menopause, there were moments I didn’t feel like myself at all.

I remember looking in the mirror feeling tired, flat, drained…

like I’d somehow lost a piece of my sparkle.

Not just physically either.

Internally.

And I think that’s why I feel so passionate now about helping women reconnect with themselves again.

Because it’s never really just about the lipstick.

Or the bright colours.

Or the skincare.

It’s about confidence.

Identity.

Feeling alive in yourself again 🩷

Over the years working in beauty, I’ve realised something really important…

The women who truly glow aren’t always the women with “perfect” skin.

They’re usually the women who finally stop apologising for taking up space.

The women who wear the lipstick.

Post the photo.

Start the business.

Say the opinion.

Book the trip.

Go to the gym.

Learn the new thing.

Try again.

The women who stop waiting for permission.

And no…

confidence doesn’t magically arrive first.

Most confidence is built afterwards.

One brave little decision at a time.

Sometimes confidence looks like going live on Facebook even though your stomach flips.

Sometimes it’s wearing the bright pink jumper you love instead of automatically choosing black again.

Sometimes it’s finally investing in yourself after years of putting yourself last.

And sometimes…

it really is just the lipstick 💄

But maybe the lipstick represents something deeper.

Maybe it’s the part of you that’s been waiting to come back.

Because midlife should not be the chapter where women disappear.

It should be the chapter where women finally come home to themselves again

I think so many women are exhausted from trying to fit into who they think they’re supposed to be.

But the truth is…

You cannot build a life that feels truly yours if you keep living by other people’s opinions.

The women we admire most are often the women who were judged first.

The women people laughed at.

The women who dared to be different anyway.

And honestly?

Maybe the people judging are simply watching someone else dare to do what they’re too afraid to try.

So if this resonates with you, here’s your little Glow Step for today

Ask yourself:

“What would I do this week if I wasn’t worried about being judged?”

Then do ONE small thing.

Wear the colour.

Buy the lipstick.

Post the photo.

Say yes to yourself.

Because confidence doesn’t appear before action…

It grows because of it 🩷

Earlier this week I shared a post about a woman people laughed at on live TV… and how she later became one of the most iconic names in fashion.

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18veegaB9p

And honestly?

I think that’s such a reminder for all of us.

Don’t shrink yourself just because other people feel uncomfortable with boldness, confidence, ambition, or difference.

You do not need to fade with age.

You do not need to become smaller.

And you are absolutely not “too old” to shine.

You don’t need fixing.

You need support, science, self-trust — and permission to stop shrinking yourself to fit other people’s comfort zones.

“I opened my planner… and immediately closed it again. Pause, Reflect, and Align

“I opened my planner… and immediately closed it again. Pause, Reflect, and Align

“I opened my planner… and immediately closed it again.”

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. That quiet pressure to decide everything suddenly feels louder in January. Goals. Plans. Declarations.

As if we’re supposed to wake up on 1 January as a brand‑new woman with perfect clarity and a colour‑coded vision board.

But truth? Our minds and bodies aren’t there yet.

January feels more like that moment after a long, emotional year when you finally sit down with a cup of coffee and exhale. You don’t jump up and sprint. You let yourself land.

Our nervous systems are still catching up. The year we lived didn’t just end because the calendar changed it’s still being processed in our bodies, our skin, our energy, our emotions.

Rushing into goals too quickly often leads us not to truth, but to comparison, urgency, and that old fear: “I should be further along by now.”

And we know from experience pressure never brings clarity. Safety does.

Step 1: Clear the Shelves

Imagine your mind like a row of jars on a shelf. Each jar holds something you carried from last year: beliefs, habits, fears, and memories.

  • Take a moment to write down what held you back in 2025.
  • Look at each “jar” and decide what isn’t coming with you.
  • Throw it out. Really release it.

This is your mental spring cleaning.

Step 2: Fill the Jars with Intention

Now, for the jars you want to keep:

  • Reframe them into what you do want to carry forward.
  • Ask yourself: Why do I want this in my life? What purpose does it serve?
  • Fill the jars with your intentions, hopes, and values for 2026.

This isn’t about big, intimidating goals. It’s about small, meaningful actions that stick.

Step 3: Two Simple Actions

Pick just two small, concrete steps for each intention.

  • Tiny, achievable actions create momentum.
  • They train your nervous system to trust that you’re moving in the right direction.
  • Each small success builds confidence and clarity for the bigger picture.

Why small goals matter: Research shows that most New Year’s resolutions lose steam within the first few weeks of January. Many people have already let go of their big ambitions by mid‑month often because goals are too large or not tied to daily habits that stick. Starting small, with actions that feel doable, is the key to lasting change.

Remember: rest isn’t laziness. Stillness isn’t falling behind. Waiting doesn’t mean you’re stuck.

If your 2026 goals aren’t fully formed yet, that’s not a problem. You’re simply building from a place of honesty, alignment, and truth.

Take a breath. Pour your jars. Align your actions. Let the year unfold gently, with intention not pressure.

Your next chapter is ready when you are.

Discover Your Glow: 3 Cornerstones for calm, Radiant Skin.

Discover Your Glow: 3 Cornerstones for calm, Radiant Skin.

Drop a 🩷 if you want skin that feels strong, calm, and youthful not just this month, but for years to come.
Midlife changes so much… our hormones shift, our resilience changes, and suddenly our skin starts whispering (or shouting 😅), “Hey lovely… I need a little more support here!”

And that’s where the Glow Trio comes in….. not trends, not treatments, not quick fixes, but the three cornerstones your skin always relies on for long-term health and radiance.

Let’s dive in, glow bestie.

  1. Skin Barrier Integrity – Your First Line of Glow Protection
Think of your skin barrier as your personal bodyguard. When it’s strong, your skin looks plump, hydrated, calm, and youthful. When it’s damaged… hello irritation, dryness, dullness, and that tight “my face is not happy” feeling.
    Your barrier protects you from:
  • Pollution
  • UV
  • Bacteria
  • Inflammation
  • Overworked skincare routines
But here’s the thing nobody tells midlife women enough:
👉 Your barrier weakens naturally with hormonal changes.
👉 The goal isn’t more products, it’s the right protection.

This is why I love LumiSpa. It cleanses without stripping, keeps the microbiome balanced, and helps maintain smoother, clearer, calmer skin, especially when hormones are causing chaos.

Tangible Result: A healthier barrier = fewer flare-ups, more glow, softer lines, and skin that finally feels “comfortable” again.

  1. Cellular Function & Regeneration – Where Real Youthfulness Begins
Ageing isn’t just what happens on the surface… It’s what slows down deep within the skin.
    Every healthy skin cell needs:
  • Enough energy
  • Balanced communication
  • Strong collagen production
  • The ability to repair itself
Midlife, stress, poor sleep, and menopause can slow everything down, fast.
This is where surface treatments reach their limit. You need support inside the skin.
Enter microcurrent + galvanic energy. This is why the Galvanic is so powerful, it helps:
  • Energize the cells
  • Improve communication
  • Support collagen
  • Encourage repair
It’s like giving your skin a personal trainer instead of a temporary filler.
And of course, your lifestyle matters too: sleep, hydration, nutrition, stress… all of it directly affects how well your cells work.

Result: When cellular energy improves = firmer skin, better bounce, reduced lines, brighter tone, and smoother texture.

  1. Consistency & Lifestyle – The Silent Power Behind Every Glow

This is the part nobody wants to hear but everyone needs to know:
80% of your skin’s long-term health comes from what you do daily, not what you do in the clinic.
You can’t out-treat:

  • Chronic stress
  • Poor sleep
  • Dehydration
  • Skipping SPF
  • Nutrient-poor meals
And you don’t need perfection… you need steady, sustainable habits.

A simple routine done daily will always outperform an expensive treatment done once.
Think:

  • SPF
  • Hydration
  • Antioxidant-rich foods
  • Sleep
  • Stress care
  • Daily cleansing with Lumi
  • Weekly Galvanic
These little habits compound into the healthiest, strongest, most radiant skin of your life.
Tangible Result: Consistency = long-lasting firmness, smoother texture, naturally brighter skin, and results that don’t fade after a week.

Your Glow Reminder
The best skin doesn’t come from the latest trend, the most expensive treatment, or a needle.
It comes from:

  • Protecting your barrier
  • Supporting your cells
  • Staying consistent

When you prioritise these Glow Trio cornerstones, every other part of your routine, your products, your devices, your lifestyle, works better and lasts longer.

🔬 Clinical Insights

  • LumiSpa & Skin Barrier: In a 12‑week clinical study, the ageLOC LumiSpa system improved softness, smoothness, brightness, and firmness, all while being gentle on the skin’s natural microbiome. (nuskin.com)
  • Microcurrent / Galvanic Spa & Cellular Function: Microcurrent stimulation has been shown to support cellular repair and collagen signaling in lab studies. Plus, internal trials with Nu Skin’s ageLOC Galvanic Spa system reported visible improvements in firmness and smoothness after consistent use.
These devices support long-term skin health but are most effective when combined with barrier care, hydration, SPF, and healthy habits.

Rewiring Your Subconscious Mind for a Powerful Midlife Transformation.

Midlife can feel like a plot twist you didn’t sign up for, right? Hormones flipping, energy dipping, skin changing and that glow you once rocked. Sometimes it feels like a distant memory.
I’ve been there. After my early menopause, I felt drained, disconnected, and… honestly, a little invisible.

Years ago, I’d read Louise Hay and already believed you are what you think. I knew it in my head..but sometimes, in the day-to-day, life, work, and menopause, that truth gets buried.

Recently, I was cudled up on the sofa, Arthur st my feet ,drinking some lemon and ginger tea, I started listening to Joseph Murphy’s The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.

And let me tell you it wasn’t that it taught me something brand new. Rather, it hit me in exactly the spot I needed, reminding me to really, fully live that truth again.

Understanding Your Mind Behind the Scenes
Your subconscious is like that backstage crew at a theater, quietly running the show while you’re busy doing life. It remembers every old belief you’ve ever had: “I’m too tired,” “I’m too old,” “I’ll never glow like I used to.”

The magic is this: your subconscious also believes your new story. The one you choose to tell it, right now.
Mini Glow Getters Tip: Take a moment today, what’s one thought you catch yourself repeating that dims your shine?
(I would love to know)

Talking to Your Subconscious

Here’s where it gets fun. Your subconscious doesn’t respond to logic, it responds to repetition, feeling, and imagery.

One morning, coffee in hand, I looked in the mirror and said:
“I nourish myself daily, and my glow shines from within.”
I smiled at myself (awkwardly at first), pictured my hair bouncing, my skin radiant, my energy buzzing even that little twinkle in my eyes felt real.

My subconscious started nodding along: Yes, this is you. This is your glow.

Mini Glow Challenge: Try saying one positive affirmation to yourself in the mirror today… even if it feels silly at first.

Tiny Daily Actions = Big Transformation
I didn’t overhaul my life overnight. I started with tiny, playful actions:

  • Wearing a colour that made me grin
  • Drinking water like my skin loved it
  • Writing down one empowering thought each day in my journal
Each small step whispered to my subconscious: this is who I am now.

Mini Glow Getters Prompt… Pick one small act today that reinforces your new story a lipstick shade, a smile, a journal entry.
Midlife isn’t a decline; it’s a secret upgrade phase.

The hormones, the changes, the unexpected twists? They’re invitations to reconnect with the truths you’ve known all along, and finally let them flourish.

You’ve spent years caring for others now it’s your turn. Speak glow, think glow, feel glow. Watch your midlife transformation unfold, one thought at a time.

Collagen and Menopause: How to Rebuild Your Glow from Within.

Collagen and Menopause: How to Rebuild Your Glow from Within.

Ever looked in the mirror mid-morning and thought… “Wait… when did my skin start feeling like this?”

Typing one-handed because someone decided my lap is now their throne 😅… yep, midlife skin changes are real. And sometimes, it’s hard to know what to do about them.

If you’ve felt this, you’re not alone. For many of us in our 40s, 50s, and beyond, it comes down to collagen the scaffolding that keeps our skin firm, plump, and glowing.

What is Collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It’s responsible for:

✅ Skin elasticity and that youthful bounce

✅ Strong joints and flexible muscles

✅ Healthy bones and even blood vessels

Basically, it’s the glue that literally holds us together.

Where is Collagen Found?

Everywhere!

Your skin, bones, muscles, tendons, and blood vessels rely on collagen to stay strong and resilient.

How Do We Produce Collagen?

Your body naturally makes collagen using amino acids from protein-rich foods. But here’s the catch… ⚠️

Collagen production slows down with age. From your mid-20s onward:

-Your body produces less collagen

– The collagen you do have breaks down faster

The results? Fine lines, wrinkles, dull skin, and joint stiffness.

During menopause, things speed up: a drop in estrogen can cause a rapid decline in collagen, leading to skin that is less firm, drier, and more prone to wrinkles and sagging. Women can lose up to 30% of skin’s collagen in the first five years of menopause, with a slower decline of about 2% per year after that.

Why Supplement Collagen?

Collagen supplements help replenish what age takes away, supporting:

🌟 Skin firmness and hydration

🌟 Joint comfort

🌟 Overall vitality

It’s not just a nice-to-have collagen is essential for glowing skin and feeling good inside and out.

What Really Matters in Collagen Supplements

Scroll online, and you’ll see endless powders and pills promising miracles. Here’s what I look for:

Peptides are everything.

Hydrolysed collagen peptides are small enough for your body to absorb and actually use.

Antioxidants support the glow.

Ingredients like lutein and wheat germ oil help protect skin from oxidative stress and maintain hydration.

Consistency is key.

Most women notice smoother, firmer skin after 6-8 weeks of consistent use.

Supporting Collagen Beyond Supplements

Collagen works best when paired with simple lifestyle habits:

* Protein-rich foods: fish, eggs, beans

* Omega-3s (hello, MarineOmega!) for supple, hydrated skin

* Sleep and stress management

* Limiting sugar and smoking

My Go-To: Beauty Focus Collagen+

I personally love Beauty Focus Collagen+ – which uses VERISOL Bioactive hydrolysed collagen peptides,

(Clinically studied to support smoother, firmer skin from within), lutein and wheat germ oil.

together they, helps support:

* Skin firmness & hydration

* Antioxidant protection for skin and eyes

* Allergy-friendly, gentle care for sensitive midlife skin

When your skin glows, you glow.

But I know how it feels when that glow disappears, when the mirror feels more like a critic than a friend.

I’ve lived it too…acne in my 20s, early menopause after a hysterectomy… my confidence took a nosedive. I’d look in the mirror and wonder, “Where did she go?”

But I found my way back, using powerful at-home treatments that gave me my skin, and self-belief back. Now, I’m here to help midlife women like you rediscover your radiance and confidence without surgery or overwhelm.

If your glow feels like it’s fading, I see you. I’d love to welcome you into The Midlife Glow Getters a space for midlife beauties to rise, glow, and feel fabulous again. https://www.facebook.com/groups/themidelifeglowgetters
