It’s called second spring, but we need to be a tornado of support for each other.

I know how you are feeling. You are tired, drained, and generally feeling low. Menopause is a very confusing time and believe me you aren’t going crazy! Every day can be a struggle.

You are not alone.

You ask yourself what is going on with me? And what is Menopause.?

Menopause is a point in time 12 months after your period ends, it lasts for one day then you’re in post menopause but commonly it is referred to as menopause. Now the years leading up to menopause is normally called perimenopause.

The transition is normally between 45 and 55 but it can start from a young age. This stage can last between 7-14 years, but everyone is different. It is a crucial time to look after yourself and change any unhealthy habits.

So, during perimenopause our bodies change, the hormones estrogen and progesterone begin to fluctuate. Every woman experiences this transition differently. Our bodies start to use our energy supply in a different way. We may gain weight and we can experience changes in our heart and bone health.

Always check in with your doctor and get checked out, don’t be scared to as all your question and don’t leave until they are answered. Always do your research, join a support group or talk to a friend.

One of the first signs that you are transitioning is a change in your period. They may not be as regular as the normally are, they may be shorter or last longer or shorter and the flow could be more or less than normal.

Another sign is hot flushes which can last years, Its sudden blast of heat that rages through your body. Your neck and face, chest, and sometimes your upper arms can feel hot, and it looks blotchy, followed by sweating and a cold shiver.

Some other signs

  • Bladdler control
  • Sleep problems
  • Vaginal dryness
  • mood changes
  • Body odour
  • Stiffness
  • Joint pain

So, take care of yourself. We are always so busy trying to be everything to everyone, you don’t set time aside for yourself. Your self-care is so important, you probably thinking oh yes, a Sunday pamper with a warm bubble bath and a nice face mask, and I am good to go, but it is much more than that and it is important that you take care of yourself holistically.

When you are aligned and energised your confidence is boosted allowing you to have faith in yourself. But when you are unbalanced, you feel alone and trapped in self-doubt.

It is time to step into your glow power and to use your passion to make a difference in this world, you don’t have to put too much pressure on yourself, just go at your own pace but keep going. and don’t let that inner voice stop you because it is telling you you’re not good enough, you will never achieve your dreams.

Don’t listen!

You’re not alone and you are good enough!

Now is the time for you to take care of yourself, you have the support you have been looking for. It is time to take that leap into believing and achieving a healthy glow inside and out. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Let me know how you are feeling, drop a comment or connect on socials.

Sending you Love & Support
