Let’s look at why our Body Odor Change During Menopause?
Hormonal Fluctuations in Menopause is characterized by a significant drop in estrogen levels.
Estrogen plays a role in regulating body temperature and sweat production.
When estrogen decreases, the body may produce more sweat, which can contribute to body odor.
Hormonal fluctuations causes a shift in our pH balance of the skin And that altered pH can create an environment to allow the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
Our apocrine glands, which are responsible for producing sweat in areas like the underarms and groin.
It can become more active during menopause, leading to increased sweat production.
Stress and Anxiety, what’s new right!
Because menopause can be a stressful time for many of us, the stress and anxiety can stimulate the release of sweat, which can, in turn, lead to body odor.
Changes our metabolism during menopause can affect the way the body processes certain foods.
This can result in the release of odoriferous compounds through sweat.
Tips for Managing Menopausal Body Odor:

Personal Hygiene, I am not telling you anything new here, but the main thing is getting rid of the bacteria, you might have washed with your soap but then notice you still smell!
Maintain good personal hygiene by showering daily and using an effective soap, maybe even an antibacterial soap to keep odour-causing bacteria at bay.
Watch your Clothing choice ,go for for breathable, natural fabrics like cotton to allow better air circulation and reduce sweat buildup.
Antiperspirants and Deodorants: Use antiperspirants that to reduce sweat production or choose deodorants with Odour-fighting ingredients like baking soda or charcoal or essential oils.
Hydration is key to everything so Stay well-hydrated and consider reducing the consumption of foods known to trigger body odor, such as spicy foods, garlic, and onions.
Reduce the stress, Pactice stress-reduction techniques like praying meditation, or deep breathing exercises to lower anxiety levels and minimize stress-induced sweating.
Set up a glow morning routine to give your self time to be calm and focused,make sure journaling is part of that.
So really nenopausal body odor is a common concern among us women going through this natural life stage.
Understanding that it is the hormonal changes that we are going through.
